Total Strategic Planning (TSP) for Government Agencies is our response to a number of factors that agencies must consider in developing their strategic plans. It is a three part system that encompasses the initial strategic planning (green), development of a metrics system (yellow), and a performance reporting system (blue). Any system or model that doesn't consider each of these as part of the entire approach to organizational strategy is incomplete, and frankly, worthless.
Is your current strategic plan used to keep the dust off of your bookshelf instead of as a guide to transform your agency into an effective high performing organization?
Have your organization’s previous planning efforts failed to accomplish great things?
Wouldn’t you rather do something with a higher likelihood of success?
If you answered yes to these questions then you need the TSP approach. Through the TSP approach our professional facilitators and consultants guide organizations through any and all parts of this model.
What makes us different? A basic tenet of strategic planning is to determine where you are and where you want to go. We engage your staff and the workforce to clearly define the key issues in your current reality. Your Research Team, guided by our consultants, examines the external environment so that your team gains the critical in depth knowledge, not just the briefing from a consultant.
Our Certified Professional Facilitators work to guide your Strategic Planning Team through the intricate examination of the data, drive your executives through the development of a solid and comprehensive Operating Philosophy and help your organization identify the path, goals and actions that will take it to the future. With this in place our team works with yours to develop your strategy driven metric system that flows down through the organization and ties into your mandated performance results reporting system.
TSP does this and more. The variations speak to the flexibility of our approach in designing client strategic planning efforts/events. It carries goals and objectives further into action plans, resource allocation, and performance measurements. This is intended to help prevent the plan from becoming “Shelfware” and/or succumbing to the everyday pressures of business. Our constantly developing suite of tools, techniques and worksheets make each event more productive, memorable and useful.
In our humble opinion (Not devoid of our bias) we blow away the average consulting firms offering similar services. Our thorough design process along with our professional facilitation and resulting, outstanding documentation make these events as useful, enjoyable and productive as anyone in the business, and better than most.
Better still, our clients are extremely satisfied with the results we help them obtain in their strategic planning efforts. We can help your group, organization or agency as well.
Many clients do not yet have a Strategic Plan and would benefit from our comprehensive approach. However, if your organization has a previously developed plan and has a preferred planning process, as professionals experienced in several strategic planning methodologies, we can adapt to it and guide your team through a complete update or a focused element of the process, such as a SWOT and/or action planning.
