DLCG Body of Knowledge (DBoK) Article Archive
As professional process consultants, group facilitators, trainers, and coaches we bring a significant knowledge base to bear on meeting our clients needs. This knowledge is developed through, courses, reading, research, writing, and using what we've learned. A significant means of continuing our development and fullfilling our professional competencies is through researching and writing articles on topics of interest to our community. The DLCG Body of Knowledge Research Project began in 2000. After amassing articles over the last several years we wanted to share them with our friends and supporters. The structure of the archive is loosely based on several sections of our Facilitation model (A and B and things we use in the Facilitation Activity Cycle). We post articles here under the following categories:
Concepts |
These are articles of a conceptual nature, based on a thought or generic idea. They include Values, Principles, and Competencies, etc... of facilitation. |
Models |
This includes constructs or articles reflecting designs or representations of models used by Facilitators and other OD Practitioners. |
Frameworks & Tools |
General methods that may be used in a number of situations and tools are items with physical characteristics used in facilitation. |
Techniques |
Structures that Facilitators and OD Practicioners use to manipulate tools to accomplish a specific task or activity. |
Activities, WarmUps & Energizers |
This section will contain Icebreakers, Warm-ups and Energizing activities in the format of facilitation techniques. |
Pioneers |
Notable and or early proponents for OD Models and/or Concepts. |
Other Articles |
This includes a wide variety of articles that do not easily fit into the other categories. |
